EMG 707 Humbuckers

The Ibanez RGIR27E wields a dual set of EMG 707 active humbucking pickups which utilize alnico V loaded wide aperture coils to deliver a truly dynamic 7-string tonality. Eliminating the muddy and muffled low sound of prior 7 string guitar pickups the 707's produce a deep and defined low B response whilst also providing tight, crisp and detailed overall response allowing them to be versatile enough for a huge range of playing styles.

Killswitch

Also featuring an extremely useful and unique killswitch in the electronic circuit the RGIR27E delivers the ability to add a chopping style effect used by the likes of Eddie Van Halen by simply switching the installed toggle switch next to the volume and tone controls in various patterns to create a range of staccato style effects.

Nitro Wizard Neck

The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard neck allows for the RGIR27E to be extremely playable and optimized for lead guitarists as the thin nature of the neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords.

Edge Zero II-7 Tremolo

The Ibanez Edge-Zero II-7 Tremolo is a high performance double locking tremolo that provides a solution to the problem many guitarists have with floating tremolos, keeping the bridge level whilst adjusting tunings. With the innovative Zero Point system the Edge-Zero II-7 retains its neutral and balanced position regardless of the tension adjustments allowing quicker tuning and a hassle free set-up.
