The Ibanez’s body is crafted from incredibly lightweight ash wood, offering excellent comfort during long performances. The ash tonewood provides a sweet, airy twang, with plenty of resonance for singing chords and powerful, punching notes. Its firm lows, pleasing highs, and slightly scooped midrange suits a range of playing styles, but favours the harsh strikes of metal players. The body is topped with beautiful laurel burl, with its eye-catching figuring enhanced by the supernova burst finish to create a truly unique guitar.
The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard neck provides the Iron Label guitar with an enhanced playability, optimised for lead guitarists for a truly comfortable performance. The thin nature of the neck helps players perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly, whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords. Crafted from maple and purpleheart, the guitar's neck provides iron-like strength for enhanced neck stability and a strong sustain.
The Ibanez Iron Label features an ebony fingerboard to provides a smooth, natural finish, along with a very responsive bright, snappy attack with a smooth sustain. It’s bound edges allow for a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
Players can achieve a classic metal tone with the two DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, which were designed in a collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio. Located on the neck and bridge positions, these pickups produce a variety of overdriven textures, creating powerfully distinctive tones perfect for metal styles.
Also featuring a two way pickup coil tap switch, the Ibanez RGIX6DLB gives you a huge amount of tonal options. Flicking the switch allows you to switch the pickup settings from a standard humbucking mode to a single coil, making it an extremely versatile guitar excellent for live situations when an array of tones are required.
The Ibanez Edge Zero is a high performance double locking tremolo first introduced in 2010, featuring similarities with both the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo and the original Floyd Rose Tremolo. This design created a unique and extremely versatile floating tremolo system which provides an added range of playing capabilities and improved tuning stability.
The RGIX6DLB Iron Label is equipped with a set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners and a locking nut to ensure the guitar stays in tune through the harshest performances. Its Gotoh tuners are designed with incredible tuning stability, offering quick and easy tuning for a stable performance. The locking nut is designed to work with the Edge-Zero tremolo bridge, ensuring the guitar retains its original tuning even after performing harsh dive bombs.
The Ibanez Iron Label Series are a meticulously designed and professional quality series of 6, 7 and 8 string electric guitars purposely built for modern metal guitar players.
