The AKG C518 ML Miniature Condenser Microphone is a clip-on microphone designed specifically for horn and brass instruments but will also perform well with drums and percussion. Featuring a cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz, the AKG C518 microphones accurately captures sound while rejecting unwanted ambient sound and minimising feedback. The integrated mounting clamp allows you to securely attach the microphone to instruments and the gooseneck holder ensures optimum positioning. The AKG C518 ML condenser microphone supplied with a mini-XLR cable (designed to connect to AKG wireless systems or external phantom power adapters), a W44 windscreen, a H518 drum bracket and a storage bag.

The AKG C518 Clip-On Condenser Microphone is a highly-compact, premium-grade studio microphone designed for the recording of drums, horns and percussive instruments. The C518 utilises a cardioid polar pattern, ideal for rejecting overspill from nearby instruments; making it perfect for live band performances as well as singular studio recording. The integrated mounting clamp means you can easily attach the microphone to your drum/other percussive instrument, with full-metal housing and shock mount that protects the internal capsule for harder beats.

High-Quality Audio & Stable Design

The wide frequency range (60Hz – 20kHz) ensures you capture every nuance from your drums performance in immense detail. The high impedance and sensitivity ranges means you can drum loudly while still capturing the subtle nuances from your performance, ideal for studio-grade recordings. The microphone comes complete with a gooseneck holder, meaning you can easily find the perfect position every time. It also comes complete with its own XLR cables, as well as an A400 adapter plate, allowing you to mount the microphone onto a wireless body-pack transmitter. The microphone cable is also detachable microphone cable for easy installation options.
