The ADM15 is a powerful stereo effect module capable of creating various ambient sounds and drones for experimental music. Add in anything from rhythmic percussion to a solid saw waveform and freeze the signal to then manipulate with pitch and noise. Use the SHIFT knob to change the pitch of the frozen signal. There are 2 modes for adjusting pitch. BIN shift controls linear shift of the frozen signal, whereas PITCH shift controls harmonic shift resulting in a wider range pitch shift. Additionally the BLUR knob can be used to further modify the frozen FFT signal by controlling the amount of noise added to it. Stereo decorrelation is also possible with this control. Use the MIX knob to then control the dry/wet signals together to creatively overlay frozen signal with one another and create interesting ambient soundscapes and also add unique flavour to rhythmic sequences.
The Audio Damage ADM15 Freeze module features 2 main modes of operation using the INFINITE switch. Depending on whether the trigger switch is on or off determines how the TRIGGER input behaves. With infinite mode on, the trigger signal or button will grab a new freeze whilst a continuous freeze is running, which can result is continuously evolving soundscapes and dronescapes. When this mode is off, the TRIGGER then accepts gate signals, which will turn the freeze on and off.
