Brian May Guitars

Brian May Guitars was established in 2004, when the Queen guitarist teamed up with House Music and his long-time engineer Pete Malandrone to produce faithful copies of his signature electric guitar; the 'Red Special'. Also known as 'The Old Lady', the iconic Red Special became almost synonymous with May himself, and was even considered by some as the 5th member of the band.

Replicas of the Red Special were manufactured by numerous guitar companies and amateurs over the years, but May wanted to control the design and production himself, so Brian May Guitars was born.

Our range of Brian May Electric Guitars is predominantly made up of the Brian May Special, the electric guitar designed and constructed to specifications almost identical to those of the Red Special; it's the closest you can come to playing the legendary instrument for yourself. The Special is available in an exciting selection of colours, providing that important personal touch.

Brian May Guitars have also branched out into the production of acoustic guitars, bass guitars and accessories, which have all been carefully designed with the Old Lady in mind.
