Key Features
The Vic Firth Cindy Blackman Signature Drumsticks have been carefully sourced and are environmentally responsible. Using the classic Vic Firth 5a as a starting point, it's a great stick for drummers from jazz to rock looking for a strong and versatile stick. The shorter taper lets you lay into a backbeat and sink into the drum. A rounded arrow tip produces a full sound on drums from the precise shape, whilst the defined edges are great for exploring the full spectrum of sounds on cymbals. Made from 1005 Hickory.
Each Vic Firth Signature Series model was conceived through extensive research with the finest drummers from a variety of musical styles. The designs reflect their musical requirements in terms of balance, feel, sound projection and cymbal colour.

Born in Ohio and raised in Connecticut, Cindy moved to New York City in the 80's. Since then, she has been seen and heard by millions of people all over the world performing with her own group and since 1993 with retro funk rocker Lenny Kravitz. She's upheld the backbeat and created texture for a veritable "Who's Who" in jazz: Jackie McLean, Joe Henderson, Don Pullen, Hugh Masekela, Pharaoh Sanders, Sam Rivers, Cassandra Wilson, Angela Bofill, Bill Laswell, Buckethead and is regarded as one of the top drummers in the world.
Her signature drumsticks are designed with a 5A shaft, enlarged neck and full taper. A rounded arrow tip, closest in shape to a classic Acorn shape, creates a full, fat sound on drums and is full and defined on cymbals. Great balance from top to bottom!
