Schecter's C-1 Platinum is a well-balanced guitar from aggressive crunchy sounds to rich, clean tones, perfect for the modern day player. The body's arched top contour provides a great resonance, enhancing the natural tones of the body wood. The Mahogany body offers naturally warm tones, with a touch of bite for creating tights lows and appealing highs. The guitar also features silver/platinum binding for a beautiful look, and a TonePros T3BT TOM bridge for incredible string stability.
The 3-piece Maple neck and Ebony fingerboard has been designed with a thin "C" shape for a smooth, fast play. The Maple/Ebony combination produces tight, bright tone that has a fast, snappy attack that’s well defined. The two woods provide the guitars sound with appealing highs, strong lows, and a smooth sustain. It also comes with many other features including Schecter locking machine heads and platinum “tempest” inlays on the fretboard.
The C-1 Platinum features 2 EMG pickups, a 57 EMG humbucker at the bridge, and a 66 EMG humbucker at the neck. The 57 has alnico V magnets and steel pole pieces to deliver Tones that have a PAF quality to them. The humbucker’s active setup provides headroom and punch to the tone, giving it definition and presence. The 66 Neck humbucker features alnico V magnets that provide a warm, smooth mid-range, and expressive lows. The humbucker also has ceramic poles that offer clarity to the tones upper register.
