The A-113 is the perfect module for create subharmonic tones. The versatile sound source features four parallel frequency dividers. These dividers provide a factor range of 1-24. The factors drive the fixed partial frequencies from the external master VCO. This allows you to create subharmonic minor-chords which can be used to change the tone and style of a sound.
The four-channel configuration features divisor buttons on each section, with a dedicated LCD screen displaying the program number. The output waveform is a sawtooth, dividing the master frequency by an integer of 1 to 24 to generate the subharmonic content. For storage, the A-113 features 50 memory banks. These 50 memory banks can store up to four mixtures per bank. This is great for live performances, allowing you to store and recall your settings on the fly. The presets can be selected with the gate inputs, providing added control for external gear.
The dual gate inputs, enable to you choose between four different mixtures ( four different settings of frequency dividers . The A-113 bases its design on the Trautonium, which was a monophonic analog synthesizer. It utilises the same design principles. The original was controlled by foot switches for switching between the mixtures. The gate inputs provide added flexibility for use with external modular gear.
