Key Features
Two switches feature on the MK 319, a -10 dB pad and high-pass filter. These can be utilised when applying the MK 319 to high SPL’s, whilst still capturing audio with impeccable clarity. The high pass filter is also useful in compensating the proximity effect when recording.
To capture audio, the MK 319 uses a large diaphragm capsule, ideal for studio and broadcast use. Thanks to this capsule, the microphone provides a wide frequency response ranging from 20 Hz to 18 kHz. This is done whilst adding a subtle presence rise, giving extra detail to vocal recordings. For an accurate sound with warm features, use the MK 319.

The MK-319 is a hugely popular condenser microphone from Oktava. Built upon the MK-219 model, the MK-319 adds a range of features that make the microphone an asset in any studio. The first of these features is a casing that has been acoustically designed to cut down the sound refractions inside the grill. This helps create a wide frequency response range and leads to a clearer, open sound. The casing also provides a rugged protective cover to cope with daily studio use.
The MK-319 features two switches dedicated to a high-pass filter and -10 dB pad. These have been redesigned for the MK-319 to ensure durability and easy operation. The high-pass filter switch accurately reduces low frequency interference in recording applications. This can also be used to counteract the unavoidable bass boost that occurs when placing transducers at close distance. The -10 dB switch allows the MK-319 to be used in high SPL situations.
The mic features a large diaphragm capsule with a fixed cardioid pattern. The various features of the MK-319 make it ideal for studio and broadcast applications. The gold spattered Teflon capsule combines with an extremely low noise, discrete preamplifier circuitry to deliver a smooth frequency response from 20 Hz to 18 kHz. This results in exceptional detail with a slight mid-range boost for added presence in vocal recordings. Thanks to the low self-noise, the microphone is capable of accurately capturing quiet sound sources. Other applications include guitars, overheads and any other source that requires high levels of detail with warm character.
