You'll have heard the original a thousand times before. Tuned to deliver clarity, warmth and richness to your voice, and excellent detail with your instrument. It's ideal for vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, drum overheads, wind and string instruments, piano, and practically for any genre.
Experience vintage, professional sound at a fraction of the price. It became a staple for most professional studios thanks to its natural sound, solid bass response and unique mid-range presence. Versatile and instantly recognisable.
You'll be able to record in a range of different ways. There are three polar patterns including omnidirectional, cardioid and figure 8. It picks up sounds in front, and from behind if you want it to. This makes it ideal for multiple applications including close micing and room micing.
One thing you'll notice is how close the sound is to the original. But if you've never got hands on with the original you'll instantly notice its unique character and how detailed, full and clear it is.
The sound is clear and never interrupted either. It has very low self-noise that won't be captured on your recordings. There's also a -10dB switch for recording high output instruments.
You'll also find a low-cut switch for removing any low-end hum such as an air conditioning unit or road sounds. The SA-87 stops noise from vibrations and handling the microphone, thanks to its included shock mount that keeps your recordings clean.
You can be confident that the SA-87 will last. One of the main reasons that the original was such a favourite was because of its reliability, it'll never give out. Stam Audio even make sure that their clone has the same durability, as well as sound, character and look.
An exact reproduction of the vintage 1960 microphone. A microphone considered by engineers as the finest sounding ever made. Everything has been recreated from the distinctive character, components, features, look, and sound.
Every last detail went into making this, giving you for the first time a price that makes it affordable to anyone.
No compromise has been made in parts. Although this is much cheaper than the original, it still sounds the same. How is that possible? Stam Audio work on small margins to make professional gear affordable to anyone, so everyone who has a passion for it can afford it. Every component of every unit is premium quality and carefully selected to ensure their units match or even surpass the quality of high-end gear.
