The iZotope Neutron 4 Elements mix assistant is a streamlined all-in-one mixing solution that serves to reimagine the mixing process as intuitive, effortless, and creative. The automatic mix assistant runs through a process featuring seven component modules to comprehensively mix your tracks. Utilise the modernised Assistant View, an intelligent control center that gives you control over the final sonic character of your mix.
The modules featured in Neutron 4 cover the whole mixing process comprehensively and are organised by the Mix Assistant to offer a range of creative processes that help to bring your mix to life. In Neutron 4 Elements, the Mix Assistant takes full control of the available modules so you can focus on the creative process. The Mix Assistant will discover and fix masking issues to reach new levels of clarity with Unmask, remove resonance and add excitement with Sculptor, and change the contour of your sound and control attack and release with Transient Shaper. Furthermore, the Mix Assistant can add both modern character and warm, vintage grit with Excitor, add impact and energy to your audio with the flexible multiband Gate, get your tracks to fit perfectly in the mix with Compressor, and automatically detect frequencies and remove masking with the intelligent Equalizer.
The signature iZotope AI-powered audio Assistant is now modernised into the new Assistant View, an intelligent control centre that helps you to find fast, personalised results. The AI Assistant listens to your audio to produce a reference starting point that you can then shape and control in the Assistant View to make big sonic improvements. Dial in punch, distortion, and width before jumping into the Detail View for fine-tuning.

The new Assistant View offers a re-imagined control centre for the AI-powered audio assistant, it is now easier than ever to produce a great-sounding mix in moments. Presented within a sleek and informative user interface, Neutron's Assistant offers intelligent mixing and flexible creative processes. The mixing AI is a highly capable intelligent mixing solution boasting many effective processes. Automatically detect different instrument types like guitar, vocals, bass, and drums to create custom effects settings. Dynamically match the tone of your track to a sample using intuitive tone-matching technology. Intelligently place EQ nodes to create an EQ curve. Place informed crossovers in multiband modes to set optimal values for signal flow. Select Compressor style and Exciter algorithm blend to customise sound tuned to your audio.
Custom Referencing
Intelligently reference the mix of any track you want in real-time. Once the Mix Assistant has listened to your reference track it can dynamically match its tone to your mix with tone-matching technology. Communicate your intent by loading stem references into your target library and Neutron 4's Mix Assistant will handle the rest, matching your drums, bass, guitar, vocal, or audio track to the sound you're looking for.
Intent Controls
Utilise creative Intent Controls to make quick changes to the Assistant's recommendation using Distort, Punch, and Width. You take direct control of the Intent Controls to define the overall tonal quality of the mix with sweeping differences. Punch introduces dynamics processing that brings intelligent expansion or compression; dial in the precision of this process with attack and sustain controls. Distort offers two types of algorithms, the original exciter settings and trash mode. Intuitively sculpt your distortion tone with an XY-pad that blends between retro, tape, warm, and tube when in exciter mode, and overdrive, scream, clipper and scream when in trash mode. Furthermore, define the tone of distortion with a simple slider. Finally, Width lets you widen or narrow the stereo image.
